An acrylic I had in the 'Childhood Memories' show that was up at the Nick studios in Burbank last month. I'm not much of a painter.

I'm making some changes.

This isn't an actual life update, I just wanted to remind anyone who hasn't yet that Team Fortress 2 is free to play for the weekend (May 2-4) in some kind of promotion for their new map patch.

Go blow people up, it's excellent therapy.

A few months old now but never posted; a quick tribute to the best little game of 2007.

Quick test, new scanner was cheap and works great. I haven't actually got my hands on MP3 yet but the Federation suit is a great design.

I'm done with WoW for the moment and mostly just messing around in the new Team Fortress, which is a substantially less hardcore time investment (and is 100% as awesome as the hype says). Concurrently I'm working on a bunch of stuff and hopefully I'll be able to post some of it here (regularly) to keep myself honest.

So, my scanner kicked the bucket. Can anyone recommend a moderately priced A4-size replacement? What are you guys using these days?

I doubt there's anyone in my scope of friends and acquaintances who haven't heard about the ongoing Todd Goldman/David and Goliath art theft issue, but for those of you who haven't (or who haven't really checked it out), a blogger named Mike Tyndall put together a seriously comprehensive post of the various creative rip-offs and thefts that David and Goliath has perpetrated over the years. This isn't really a new or a one-time thing.

http://www.miketyndall.com/todd_goldman/ (mirror here)

Creative theft is a real problem for people whose creative ideas are the trade they make a living on, and it's easy to get away with doing this kind of thing to lesser-known artists like Goldman has. What would bring 'justice' to this issue? Well, D&G shouldn't make another ill-gotten penny from merchandising their stolen ideas. Goldman should be laughed out of any gallery he tries to shop his shitty stolen paintings to. In a truly karmic world, he'd never work in this town again.

Will any of that happen? Who knows. Pass it along.

Do you ever get that feeling after a couple days of bad sleep that you're decomposing when you're awake? Like, dying on a cellular level?
